Aselsan signs $3.5mil deal with TUBITAK-Space

Defense electronics giant Aselsan, A.S. signed a $3.5 million agreement with Turkey’s scientific and technological research organization (TUBITAK) for building a new S+X-band satellite monitoring and orbital control station for its new space center in Ankara, dubbed TUBITAK-Uzay. According to Aselsan’s official press release, the new center will become operational in 2012.
