@ PakSarzameen, There is no need for disrespect. Ashdoc's comment wasnt disrespectful. us turks would like to dispel any hatred between ur 2 nations and if anything bring u guys closer, not create a forum that perpetuates the animosity between ur 2 nations
@ ashdoc, on what do u base ur claim. do u feel that women who have a religious belief should be denied a full education or employment within gov institutions. if so then u advocate making a certain segment of the population 2nd class citizens purely based on their religion. that is a fundamental breach of human rights. if a individual is employed by the gov and that individual performs their duty as was prescribed then what is the problem. it doesnt mean the gov is no longer secular. after all the true meaning of secularism is that it is neutral regarding religious ideology. not anti religion as in turkey. i live in Australia where Muslim women can wear religious atire, and where Sikhs can wear their religious head wear. the gov allows religious attire and u dont see the collapses of secularism here. on the contrary u see a more moderate view from its people.
our postmen have to by law wear helmets because they ride motor bikes but sikhs r exempt from wearing them. it is the individuals choice if he feels that the danger of serious injury out weighs his obligations to his religion. either way it does not pose any threat to the gov or non religious people

well ,the problem is the intentions of the islamists . are they going to be satisfied if the current demands are met ?? if so ,then i am okay with it . but i hope that this does not open a pandora's box of other demands .

i suggest you to stop trolling and stop vilifying the islamists, and in the first place its the oppressive govt in india who is killing the kashmiris, the muslims and stealing muslim lands..., the babri mosque trial just saw the injustice prevailing in india, giving hijab rights in a muslim country is not a very big deal, ur govt is not afraid of giving gay rights to its population, it is not afraid of gays demanding more rights like gay marriages in manders etc..

apna qulia durust karo phir baat karo!!

i get the feeling ur definition of islamist has been painted by ur neighbor and their ongoing struggle against their version of the taliban. Us Turks r from a different school of islam. we come from the hanifi branch of islam which is very moderate. i have many Pak friends here in australia and i know that their views on religion r more strict than ours. Turkish people have centuries of being ruled directly from a central gov, where as in several parts of pakistan the tribal rule is still very influential. this tribal rule and laws get heavily influenced by a more orthodox interpretations of their branch of Islam. so islamist is a very vague description.

But because u fear a supposed threat from these supposed islamists (i call them the Turkish version of the German christian DEMOCRATS). u condone (the secularists) what u claim the islamists "MIGHT" do and that is segregate according to ideology. dont u think that is hypocrisy and double standards.

Turkey has a healthy democracy and if the people feel that AKP is moving away from a more developed and healthy democracy to a theocratic state, believe me the AKP wouldnt even get 8% of the vote like the sadet party.

But we have side tracked the issue. it is a basic fundamental right to wear anything u like, weather u wear a Mohawk with neon colors through it or u wear a head scarf. ur attire does not make u more dangerous. it the repression of ur basic human rights that make a individual dangerous

yeah ,certainly i am influenced by what is happening in my neighbourhood .

you see , i am not a religious person at all , and largely dont follow my own religion .

to me giving in to religious demands is not really acceptable.......i wouldn't like peoples lives controlled by religion.

admittedly turkey is much more moderate .

pakistanis belong to the hanafi branch too, who told you that as you are hanafi you are more moderate than us, please get some info before speaking out.. i know turks are very moderate they are used to drink if they want, and i also know pakistanis are very 'conservative' too(not strict), pakistanis have a better faith in their religion then say most turks, so it doesnt mean pakistanis resort to violence and blind fanatism..

talibans belong to afghanistan and not pakistan, during the american raid talibans came here to revenge the americans, they didnt mean to harm pakistan until pakistan army from american pressure started to kill these people who only wanted revenge from nato americans who are killing afghans..

tribal region is very small as compared to the whole of pakistan like saying istanbul compared to turkey, saying talibans rule the pakistan is a very dillusional idea..

i know what this indian is trying to spread here, hatred, he doesnt even represent his country india, he thinks away from his state policy so lets just ignore him for good, his rubbish posts are just to spread hatred..

It is YOU who are filled with hatred ,which is regularly drilled into your minds by the pakistani state .

It is because of this hatred that pakistan has failed as a state , because it spends less time in developing itself , and more time in hating india .

let me tell you , all this hatred is going to take you nowhere .

read in this link how the pakistani state failed itself . it runs into three pages , so click on ' next page ' at the bottom .

read about how noted author ahmad rashid is asking pakistanis to face up to the fact that the real enemy is not india , but the fanatics within pakistan .

read--

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/ ... -1,00.html

and i have come to this thread for some serious discussion , not hate-mongering like you .........why dont you take your countryman Kasaeed's advice and keep your rantings off this thread ??

Edit:
Sİlahtar:Please don't be rude when you're trying to tell something...
